Overstimulated – and underwhelmed by your German?

You’ve tried apps, classes, or your partner’s patience — and still feel a bit lost when it comes to speaking German? Longing to feel more confident in conversation—but also craving time in nature to fill your batteries after a long day and a little peace for your nervous system?

Enter German in the Woods.

Your weekly outdoor adventure where language learning meets mindful movement, conversation flows naturally, and your brain and body both get what they need.

This isn’t your average language course. It’s a forest-based learning experience for adults who want more than just grammar drills.

We walk. We talk. We laugh.

We pause to listen—to each other, to nature, and to ourselves.

What you’ll get:

  • Practice speaking German in a relaxed, no-pressure setting

  • Connect with like-minded humans – minus the classroom vibes

  • Fresh air and gentle movement to support your nervous system

  • Reconnect with yourself, nature, and the language around you

You don’t need to “be good at languages.”

You just need to show up with curiosity and a decent pair of shoes.

FAQs

Do I need to speak German already?

Nope! This is for beginners and rusty returners alike. You’ll learn by listening, speaking, and simply being present—no grammar tests, no pressure.

What if I make mistakes?

Then you’re learning! This is a judgment-free zone where mistakes are part of the process. We celebrate progress, not perfection.

Is this a fitness class?

Not at all. We move gently—think walking, breathing, stretching. It’s about feeling good in your body, not working out.

Where do we meet?

Our forest is just a short bus ride outside of Linz. Far enough to leave the city and your day behind, quick and close enough to get home for some relaxing sofa time or post forest walking drinks with your friends. You will receive the exact location after you have filled out the onboarding sheet.

What if I have social anxiety or feel shy about speaking?

You’re not alone. Many participants join to gently build confidence. The forest setting helps ease pressure and supports nervous system regulation—so speaking becomes easier, naturally.

What happens in bad weather?

We go with the flow. Light rain doesn’t stop us—just bring a rain jacket! For extreme weather, we reschedule or offer a nature-inspired alternative indoors.

What should I bring?

Comfortable clothes, weather-appropriate layers, sturdy shoes, and an open mind. Optional: water bottle, notebook, and a curious heart.

Can I try a session before booking a full course?

Yes! Drop-in sessions are available if space allows. Just get in touch.
